The American Folklore Society has announced that their 2025 Annual Meeting will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. The meeting will be held October 18–21, 2025. Neither an exact location nor details for submitting proposals have been shared yet; a CFP is expected in spring ’25.
Those who participate in the related fields of oral history or ethnomusicology may be pleased to learn that annual conferences in those fields are being held in the same city, which may help with travel challenges for those who wish to attend more than one event. The 2025 Oral History Association Annual Meeting is October 15–18, 2025, and the 2025 Society for Ethnomusicology Annual Meeting is October 23–26, 2025.
